mr. ing. Jan (J.A.A.) van de Ven
Before transitioning to law, Jan spent several years in international fruit trading, AgTech, and agro-commodities. He worked in post- harvest technology, trade, and finance. He also lived in the Americas for several years.
Jan was admitted to the bar in 2001. After several years at a large law firm, he established his own practice, focusing exclusively on agri-food companies.

Education
Jan has also completed specialist legal training, including the Grotius Academy’s National and International Contracting course, the Contracting Specialist course at Leiden University, and the Food Law course at Wageningen University.

Jan van de Ven has registered the area of contract law in the Dutch Bar Association's register of legal services. This registration obligates him to obtain ten training credits in this registered main area of law each calendar year, in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Working in the Americas made Jan a proficient and easy communicator in English and Spanish. Jan is married, a father, and trains for half-marathons.
