EU Food Laws

The EU General Food Law provides general principles of food and feed law, covering all stages of the production, processing and distribution of food as well as feed produced for (or fed to) food-producing animals. Its aim is to guarantee a high level of protection for human life and health, and safeguard consumers' interests. As the EU is the world's largest importer of food products, all food exporters to Europe have a significant interest in ensuring full compliance with the EU regulatory regime.
